A Phone Call!

Today we received a phone call! It wasn't exactly the phone call we were hoping for but it is still an exciting moment. Our adoption agency called to ask if we would allow them to share our profile with a young girl that is pregnant. But, because of the situation, they wanted to make sure we would be interested because their is the possibility that the baby may have some mild developmental delays and/or mild physical handicaps.

Mike and I agreed that we should have our profile shown to this young girl. It really is in God's hands as to the health of the baby. The baby may be perfectly healthy and there is never a guarantee with ANY pregnancy whether or not a baby will be healthy without some type of complications including complications that may happen at birth.

At the moment, my hands are shaking as I type this. I'm excited about the potential but unsure of where this is leading. Just over a month ago, I was experiencing "new mom jitters" and second guessing whether or not we should even adopt. Now we've received a phone call that could potentially lead us to the baby that God has chosen for us to adopt.

We know that all we can do is pray for this young girl and her situation as well as for the health of the baby. As much as Mike and I look forward to being parents we know it is in the Hands of God and that GOD knows the plans that he has for this BABY and our family.
